![]() I'm a sucker for big fantasy movies like this and I love how this will be a standalone story. I think this looks amazing and there is so much great potential for stunning 3D. DC doesn't seem to care too much though about stronger 3D in their films with a couple good exceptions, so I'm not expecting a lot but hope to be surprised. But yes, the 3D could be something if they invest in it like Marvel does. That said, this film seems to have the right tone for the trailer here in my view. ![]() With Aquaman, the goofy part is seeing people talking clearly underwater, and living their lives under all that heavy water pressure from above beneath the sea without any breathing equipment, and not being slowed down by the water when moving. I can imagine if the Ant-Man films were very serious like The Dark Knight films, with hardly any humor, and here's a tiny guy running around fighting bad guys. With Ant-Man, the humor helps sell the theme really well. Aquaman sort of falls into the Ant-Man category for the theme being very far fetched, that it's tough to pull off without being a little cheesy, so it's a good idea for the creators to add in some humor to balance it out. I hear what you're saying about trying to make something unbelievable seem more realistic. Yes if only we could have a realistic, grounded movie about superpowered fish people living underwater. ![]()
